Do I get a partner? For BMUN, most committees are double delegations, meaning that you will be representing a country with another Casti student. Single delegations are only an option for those who are experienced, and interested. Do I get to choose my country/committee? Our club does get some input in the process of selecting countries and committees, but assignments are, for the most part, random. Leading up to the conference, the club receives a list of countries/committees that we have been assigned to. Club members figure out amongst themselves who will take each spot. |
Are there any costs associated with the club?
MUN is a self-funded club, meaning that members are responsible for most of the costs associated with attending conferences. This includes hotel costs when we attend Berkeley MUN (BMUN).
Is financial aid available?
Yes. Contact Ms. Lee or our faculty advisors if you have questions.
I'm confused about how MUN works...
Don't worry! Everyone will tell you that it all makes sense when you see it. We're hosting a mini conference at Castilleja this year with the purpose of giving new members the opportunity to experience and understand MUN before they get to Berkeley.
